Who we are

R.G. Park Family Butchers Limited is responsible for the personal information described here (the "data controller").

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, what you ordered, your chosen time, any notes, and whether you've paid.
If you create an account: your login details. Your password is stored scrambled, so we can't read it. If you turn on two-step sign-in, we keep the setting needed for it.
If you contact us: your name, email address and message.
When you use the site: your IP address and technical details, to keep the site secure and stop misuse.
We don't see or store your card details. Card payments are handled by Stripe.

Why we use it

To take, prepare and hand over your order, and to email you about it. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
To run your account, if you have one, so you can see and manage your orders.
To keep the records the law requires, such as for tax.
To reply to messages, keep the site secure and prevent fraud. These are our legitimate interests.

We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

Only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:

Stripe, which processes online card payments.
Resend, which sends our order emails.
Our hosting provider, which runs this website and its database.

Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, they're required to protect it to UK standards.

How long we keep it

Order records: six years, as the law requires for tax purposes.
Your account: until you delete it, which you can do yourself under account settings.
Messages: for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email us at info@mrandmrsparks.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We only use the cookies the site needs to work. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, so we don't ask for consent.

butchers-session: keeps your basket and keeps you signed in as you move around the site.
XSRF-TOKEN: protects the forms on this site from misuse.
remember_web_…: only if you tick "Remember me" when signing in, so you stay signed in.

If you pay online, Stripe's payment page sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.
