Our Products

We know that shopping local is important to our customers, and it’s important to us too. That’s why we do our best to source all produce from within 30 miles of our shop. Not only does this support the local economy, it also lowers our carbon footprint. Plus, we can ensure that our produce is of the highest quality and the animals are ethically treated resulting in the most flavoursome ingredients and just as importantly, a clear conscience.

On the note of ethics and sustainability, we always look to use the animal from top to tail. This means not only is there minimal waste, but there are also a wide range of cuts available. And anything in between, makes dog food. We really can feed the whole family!

Beef

We are rightfully proud of all our meat but particularly our prime beef, which is hung on the bone for at least 28 days. This method of ageing meat is known as dry ageing. Dry ageing beef is done by hanging meat in a controlled, closely watched, refrigerated environment. If you ever had a good, aged steak, you know it is more tender and flavourful than what you can typically buy in the supermarket. The reason for this is that ageing allows natural enzymes to breakdown the hard connective tissue in meats and for water to evaporate away, concentrating the flavour especially in the steaks. The animals are also local and can vary in breed such as Dexter and Hereford, some of the most flavoursome beef available.

Pork

The wonderful thing about pork part from is its flavour of course, is it flexibility and excellent value. Our wide array of sausages are very popular, ranging from your classic Old English to the more novel Pork and Marmite. All made with the same local, quality meat, fresh herbs and wonderful flavour, sausages are a year round, all weather favourite. We also produce our own traditionally cured bacon, cook our own hams and our rolled pork shoulder is a Park household favourite (with extra crackling, obviously!). Woods Farm are our primary supplier of Oxfordshire Pork. The Duroc x Landrace pigs are sourced from an RSPCA freedom food accredited herd, free from antibiotic growth promoters, hormones and meat and bone meal. They're born and reared outdoors.
